NB. Critiques: If the work is not submitted for each of the deadlines, 0% will be recorded. The nature of presentations requires a full attendance by all candidates. You will be assessed on your ability to present and your ability to discuss other presentations. Marks will be equally divided between the presenter and the audience.

All presentations must be digital, however some props or handouts can be used. It is your responsibility to prepare several copies of hand outs for your audience.

Additional tutorial assistance is possile by emailing work in progress.

Module introduction: Module overview, requirements and briefing

Lecture "Digital Human-Evolution and Enterprise" presentation, followed by Short discussion

Week 8

Student presentations:

See the following- print out and bring into class each week

Record of Meeting Form- please complete at end of each session.

 

All students present their chosen Entrepreneurship Applied direction.

10mins to present, 10 mins discussion.

Assessment = 20% of final marks

You are expected not only to present by way of digital media but to constructively discuss other presentations, by way of questions and proposals related to each individual delivery.

  • Decisions on Grants/ Funding opportunity
  • Rationale for choices
  • Some initial visuals showing examples of other "State of the Art" or "Prior Art".
  • Some visuals of Own work placing relevant context for project plan.

Week 9

The Business of Design Lecture

Tutorials on one to one basis, and group discussions- review of written applications-

  • Bring applications in progress (printed copy), along with Research Files- These must be organised clearly by category.

 

Week 10

Student presentations: Development of application information.

10mins to present, 10 mins discussion.

Assessment = 20% of final marks

  • New findings
  • New opportunities
  • New collaborations
  • Action Plan
  • Project plan Gantt charts
  • Visual summary illustrating proposed entrepreneurial direction

Assessment = 30% of final marks

Full visual presentations, outlining the proposal in its entirety. Some visual material will be created solely to this end, that will not be part of the current design work for your practical module.

Clear actions steps and time lines must be illustrated.

Use your individual applications for guidance.

 

Final

Written Submissions:

Deadline: submit to Gillian Monaghan before 12:00 on Monday 19th May.

Fully completed application to be submitted, along with research files.

Assessment =30% of final marks

Some deadlines may occur earlier for actual grant submissions, you should therefore indicate what entrepreneurial actions have taken place. Show evidence of collaborations such as letters intent etc.

Related Visual examples can also be submitted.

MSc students should submit their final multimedia presnetations which catalogues/ demonstrates their innovations.
