The Interactive Hand wins several awards: Digital Human Project 2010

Congratulations to Terry Quigley who has recently secured a numebr of wins derrived from his work on the Interactive Hand, a project within the RCUK funded  Digital Human Project.

Terry has been a joint lead in an interdisciplinary project between Creative Arts (Design), Computing and Intelligent Systems and the NW Trust to develop a new way of hand movement measurement. He along with Dr Joan Clondel  have led a team to success achieving short list for hte 2010 25K Awards and under lead applicant Dr Philip Gardinar (Altnagelvin Hospital) have won the 2010 Western Trust’s Most Innovative Idea of the Year Award at this week's HSC Innovation Awards.

Terr's Interactive Hand project also won the best poster award at the 2nd Annual Conference for Transitional Medicine, hosted by the award winning research centre C-TRIC. The project has also attracted a number of small grants recently.
